Lea and Cory tease Glee Season 4

We know that the “Glee” spinoff is officially dead — but not only will Lea Michele be back for Season 4, Cory Monteith confirmed to Zap2it that he’ll be back after Finn Hudson graduates too. “There’s no way I can’t graduate. I’m, like, 30 next year,” he cracks.

Seriously, though, Monteith says that he welcomes the big changes coming to “Glee” next season.

“Season 4 is going to be a whole different show. It’s going to be something a lot different than what people saw. It’s still very much the same show, the same formula that I think has found viewership, it’s just going to be a little bit of a shakeup. Ryan and the creators have come up with a really cool way to incorporate a lot of graduates– [they] can still be a part of the show but not change the entire paradigm of the series.”

Michele tells Zap2it that although her status was publicly up in the air, she always intended to return to the show.

“I always knew in the back of my mind, like, ‘I’m coming back whether they want it or not! I’m going to be a janitor in the background. Be in the choir room window like [makes face].’ I ‘m thankful every single day,” she says. “Not only are we happy that we have our incredible jobs, but we’re a part of a television show that’s funny but at the same time is helping people and is doing something important.”

So that’s settled — Monteith and Michele will definitely be back. But will their characters stay together as they approach graduation? Michele teases that there’s “something big” coming up for Finn and Rachel.

Monteith expands, saying, “I think this season in particular is a lot more about Rachel’s ambition and Finn’s lack of direction. Is Finn going to be brought along on her path, or is he going to figure out what he wants to do? And what is it that Finn wants to do? I think these are all questions that he’s asking himself and will be continuing to ask himself through Season 3, and it’s going to get shaken up a lot near the end of Season 3.”

Hey! My name is Mayara and I’m the new owner of Loving Lea Michele, thank you so much, Jasmine, for passing it to me. You may know me from Adoring Dianna Agron. I still have to get the gallery up to date with the latest events, but meanwhile here’s a new sneak peek of the next episode of Glee.

E Online: Graduating seniors can stay on Glee

Finchel FTW! (And Klaine, too.)

Looks like there’s a good chance that (despite that spinoff controversy a few months back), Glee’s graduating “seniors” Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, Chris Colfer, Dianna Agron, Mark Salling and Harry Shum Jr. could very well end up staying on the original series in some capacity.

We hit the set today to help celebrate the show’s 300th musical number (you saw our Jonathan Groff and Adele explosion of awesome, right?), and Glee’s co-creator and bossman Ryan Murphy had this to say about whether the actors who play McKinely High’s seniors will be departing the series:

“We were talking about doing different things and then we decided to work on this season,” Murphy told reporters on set. “I think that just because people graduate, which I thought was very important to the show, that doesn’t mean they’re not on Glee or not a part of the Glee world. We haven’t figured out what that is yet. We’re figuring that out. A lot of it will depend on the actors and what their dreams are and what they want to do and what they feel that have left in them. We’re obviously a very close group of people. We talk about these things every day.”

And just in case any seniors do end up leaving the series this May, Murphy is doing right by them in the meantime. “Because so many kids are graduating this year, I wanted to go back to what the pilot was,” Murphy said. “Creatively, it was a really great decision because it grounded these kids again.”

By our last count, the graduating seniors include Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Karofsky, Mike and Santana. Who are you most hoping will stick around? In order to keep them all, can we just agree that we’re OK with McKinley University?
